TOD

The evening before the Gartenbergs were scheduled to move into their new home they paid a visit before the mover’s arrival the next day. A huge black dog came to find out who the intruders were and scared the bejesus out of Ad. This is a yarn about that huge dog that turned out to be named TOD, The Other Dog. How he adopted Janae Gartenberg as his female human, came to sire a litter of whelps, helped rescue a skulk of baby foxes, and protected the neighborhood is part of a heartwarming story centered on TOD’s love and loyalty.

This is the first of the 3-book series.

The Orchard

This book is the sequel to “TOD”, the tale about an enormous dog that made a huge impact on Janae Gartenberg and her family.  An unusual, dangerous, animal causes a flurry of excitement when it pays The Orchard a visit. After a game warden overplays his authority, he’s humiliated by the Gartenberg’s attorney and retreats with his tail between-his-legs. When a drug-dealing plot is attempted by two miscreant brothers, it’s foiled by the police with the assistance of Janae and Ad Gartenberg and their two kids. In its conclusion, Ad is further convinced that “what Janae wants, Janae gets” when Michelle reveals that she’s missed two periods in a row.

Funny, politically incorrect, and entertaining for animal lovers and readers of all persuasions. This is the second of the 3-book series.

Longears
and Losers

Part 3 of the TOD trilogy, coming soon in 2019.

Be a little patient -- it’s worth the wait! In a state of carnal bliss Ad succumbs to Janae’s pestering to enter the world of equine ownership. Their animal of choice is the equus mule. While enjoying mule ownership, a tragedy occurs; Ad is seriously injured and is forced into a period of convalescence that throws the family’s emotions into shambles. Paddy O’Brien, the mule-trader who sold them the critters, comes to Plantation Gartenberg to assist the family in their recovery from Ad’s malady. Paddy’s love of people, generosity,  sense of humor, and imaginary constant companions, help him with his quest. New characters add a dimension of conspiracy to the tale while romance develops between a detective and a rebellious lady doctor who was inadvertently involved in Ad’s injury.

This is the third of the 3-book series.
